Things might be feeling unclear, uncertain, or overwhelming. I get the idea of going to therapy can feel like a big decision, and finding a therapist that you feel comfortable with is important.
You might be going through a life change, facing challenges in an area of your life, or feeling stuck and unsure of your next step. Some people come to me because they noticed themselves feeling more worried, flat or confused about things. Others come to me because they want to feel safe opening up about things that feel personal and vulnerable. They find my approach warm, trusting and gentle natured.
Sometimes there’s a clear reason you reach out, other times, it’s a sense that you want to talk to a trusted professional - and you want to make sense of what’s going on internally, that way you can move forward with more clarity and peace. If any of this sounds familiar, we might be a good fit. See more below.
I work with adults, one on one, who want to understand themselves better
In short, I work with adults who are experiencing
-
Life transitions, uncertainty or change
-
Anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed
-
Low mood, sadness, or feeling stuck
-
Relationship difficulties or patterns
-
Emotional reactivity or sensitivity
-
Burnout or ongoing exhaustion
-
A desire to understand themselves better
-
The need to talk with a trusted professional
Outside of my scope
To make sure you get the support that’s right for you, it’s important to mention that there are some areas I don’t work with. I’m not the best fit if you’re looking for support with:
-
Medico-legal reports
-
Family and domestic violence
-
Compensation/insurance claims
-
Crisis/emergency support
-
Eating disorders
-
Drug and alcohol addiction
-
Court reports
-
Family court matters
-
Psychosis
These areas often need more specialised or structured support than I can provide in my practice. Plus, you deserve to work with someone who is well equipped for those needs. If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to point you in the right direction.
